How to set up emails for P2P campaigns

This guide outlines how to configure email notifications for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Campaigns using the LevCharity plugin. These emails notify campaign creators (participants), donors, or admins about key events in a P2P campaign — including approval, donation success, or goal achievement.


Notification Types #

TypeDescription
User NotificationSent to donors or P2P participants (e.g., {{donor-email}}, {{author-email}}).
Admin NotificationSent to internal staff using static addresses (e.g., BCC).

How to Set It Up #

  1. Navigate to Manage
  2. Select P2P Campaigns

Supported Actions for P2P Campaigns #

Only the following actions are supported in the P2P email module:

Payment FailedA donation attempt fails
Gift AidA donation includes a Gift Aid declaration
Product CreatedA new P2P campaign is created by a user
P2P Campaign ApprovedA submitted P2P campaign is approved by an admin
P2P Campaign DonationA donation is made directly to a user-created P2P campaign
Goal 100The P2P campaign reaches its fundraising goal

Note: You may optionally configure milestone emails for 25%, 50%, or 75% goal achievements.

Merge Tags #

You can personalize the subject and message using the following tags:

{{amount-less-fee}}Net donation after transaction fees

Attachments #

You can upload files to attach to the email, such as:

  • Donation acknowledgment letters
  • Campaign approval notifications
  • Thank-you notes

Send Delay #

Emails can be scheduled to send after a delay. Examples include:

  • 24 hours after a donation
  • 1 hour after the campaign reaches a goal milestone

Filters and Targeting #

You can restrict email delivery based on campaign or user criteria:
