This guide walks you through how to create and configure an Event product using the LevCharity Events Plugin.
Step-by-Step: Creating an Event Product #
- Navigate to Fundraise > Events > Add New
- Set a Name and Description for the event
- Fill in the Event-specific fields, organized into several tabs based on the Event Type you select
Main Fields Available to Admins #
These fields are completed in the admin area when creating or editing an event product.
General Settings #
- Event Type – Dropdown selection:
Single
,Multiple
, orAdvance
- Price – Base price per ticket
- Currency – Auto-selected or editable via base currency component
- Donation Option – Toggle to allow donations during checkout
Page Settings Tab #
Controls how the event appears and behaves on the public checkout page.
Enable / Disable Section #
- Toggle to show or hide a checkout instruction above the form
Main Details #
- Events Friendly Title – Public-facing title
- Title (Admin Only) – Internal label (e.g., “Jan 1st 2025”)
- Event Type – Single, Multiple, or Advance
- Event Subtitle – Optional secondary message
- Event Checkout Button Text – e.g., “Submit”
- Event Tickets Title Text – e.g., “Purchase Tickets”
- Event Tickets Button Text – e.g., “Buy Tickets”
- Disable Summit Receipts – Optional toggle
Currency Settings #
- Default Currency – Choose from available currencies (e.g., USD)
- Currency Switcher Toggle – Let users choose their preferred currency
Event Message Section #
- Heading – Defaults to “Message to sponsors”
- Message Body – Paragraph field (Visual/Text editor)

- Location Name
- Address Line 1 & 2
- City
- Postal Code
- Country (e.g., United Kingdom)

Tickets Tab #
Available for all event types. Each ticket includes:
- Name – Internal name
- Price – Required
- Quantity – Required
- Tax Deduction – Optional
- Description – Optional details
- Private Ticket Toggle – Yes/No
You can add multiple ticket types for Multiple
and Advance
event types.
Sponsorships Tab #
Visible only for Advance event types. Each sponsorship includes:
- Name – Sponsorship label
- Price – Required
- Quantity Available – Required
- Tax Deduction – Optional
- Description – Optional
- Private Sponsorship Toggle – Yes/No
Digital Ads Tab #
Also only available for Advance event types.
This tab pulls from the Digital Ads custom post type. You can toggle on/off which ads are linked to the event. Each ad is displayed with its title and an option to activate it.
Event Page Content Tab (Advanced Only) #
Available only for Advance
events.
This section uses a Gutenberg block editor, allowing you to design a fully customized event landing page with layouts, patterns, and reusable components.
Custom Fields Tab #
Admins can add extra input fields for users to complete during checkout. These fields appear below the registration section.
Each custom field includes:
- Custom Field Title – Public-facing label
- Field Name – Internal tracking name
- Field Type – Choose from:
- Text
- Number
- File Upload
- Textarea
- Dropdown
- Checkbox
- Radio Buttons
- Date
- Date and Time
- Default Value – Optional pre-filled content
- Placeholder – Instructional text inside input
- Max Character Count – Limits the number of characters
- Required Field Toggle – Marks field as required or optional
Event Type Explained #
When creating an Event, admins must choose the Event Type from a dropdown. This determines the features and form flow.
