This guide walks you through how to add a new contact
Step-by-Step Instructions: #
1. Navigate to the Contact Section #
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
- In the left-hand menu, click Activity.
- From the dropdown, select Contacts.
- Click Add New to begin creating a new contact.
2. Fill Out Contact Details #
The form includes several default fields. Depending on your CRM settings, you may see any of the following:
Field | Description |
---|---|
First Name | The contact’s first name |
Last Name | The contact’s last name |
Primary email address | |
Phone Number | Auto-formatted with country code |
Country | Country of residence or billing |

Hebrew Birthday | Optionally enabled |
Marital Status | Optionally enabled |
Profession | Optionally enabled |
3. Use Custom Fields (if enabled) #
Your administrator may have added custom fields specific to your organization. These appear below the standard fields and may include:
- Dropdown menus – e.g., Select Role
- Multi-select options – e.g., Interests
- Text areas – e.g., Notes
- Numeric inputs – e.g., Years of Experience
These fields are dynamic and will only appear if they’ve been configured.
4. Assign Tags (Optional) #
If your system uses tags (configured via levcharity_user_tags
), you’ll see a field where you can assign tags to the contact—such as Donor, Volunteer, or Parent. This helps with user segmentation and filtering later.
5. Save the Contact #
Once you’ve completed the form, click the Save or Add Contact button at the bottom to save your changes.
