United Hatzalah volunteers operate at the scene of terrorist incidents and in conflict and combat zones, providing life-saving medical assistance to the wounded. In order to maintain the health and safety of the volunteers, we are required to provide them with protective equipment, including helmets, ceramic vests, and special rescue kits.
Donating a ceramic vest and helmet will help us maintain the safety of the medics, paramedics, and doctors who volunteer at United Hatzalah and work to save the lives of victims of terrorism and rocket and missile attacks.

The first few minutes are critical to saving the life of the sick or injured. Life-saving equipment adapted to combat zones allows thousands of United Rescue volunteers deployed throughout the country to provide an initial response to thousands of emergencies, with an average arrival time of 90 seconds in major cities, saving lives in any situation without having to wait for the ambulance crew.

An advanced system integrated with GPS locates the volunteer closest to the scene of the incident and sends him or her to begin CPR until the ambulance arrives. In this situation, every second counts and increases the patient's chances of being saved without harm.
